How to Audit an Eyeshadow Brush Collection for Duplicate Shapes

A brush collection becomes easier to use when each shape has a clear job. An audit can show where you have duplicates and where you still need a different contact area.

Group brushes by placement zone

Separate all-over blending, crease work, outer V depth, lower lash-line placement, and detail work. The Crystal Wash Blending Brush covers broad blending, while the Edge Fade Detail Shader Brush is for tighter placement.

Look for practical differences

Compare head size, edge, taper, and density. Two brushes can both be called “blending brushes” but still behave differently when one has a larger fluffy dome and the other has a compact tapered flat dome.

Keep only useful overlap

Some duplication is useful when you repeat a technique or want a clean backup. Otherwise, prioritize a missing role over another version of the same shape.

Browse the Aureate Luminaire Set if you need several face and eye roles in one coordinated collection.
