How to Clean Makeup Brushes Without Damaging the Bristles
Cleaning makeup brushes is mainly about removing product buildup while protecting the brush head, ferrule and handle.
Use lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser
Wet the bristles with the brush angled downward. Work a small amount of appropriate brush cleanser or mild soap through the fibers with light motions, then rinse thoroughly.
Keep the ferrule from soaking
Routine cleaning should focus on the bristles. Avoid submerging the entire brush, and do not twist or pull the fibers.
Reshape and dry flat
Press out excess water with a clean towel, reshape the head and let the brush dry completely in a ventilated area.
Dense brushes need careful rinsing
With a dense base tool such as the FLAWLESSCORE™ FOUNDATION BRUSH, work cleanser through the center and rinse until visible residue is gone.
