How to Use a Foundation Brush: A Section-by-Section Routine

Using a foundation brush is easier when you work in sections instead of trying to cover the whole face at once.

1. Start with a small amount

Place a small amount of liquid or cream foundation on the back of your hand or a palette, then load the FLAWLESSCORE™ Foundation Brush.

2. Work from the center out

Begin around the cheeks, nose, and center of the forehead. Use short buffing motions, then move outward so the edges stay lighter.

3. Change pressure by area

Use lighter pressure around the nose and eyes, and slightly more controlled buffing where you want additional coverage. A rounded flat-top head helps you move between broad areas and smaller sections.

4. Check the edges

Blend around the jawline and hairline before adding more product. If you need more coverage, build another thin layer rather than overloading the brush.
